"Vivid ruby-red. Highly perfumed scents of ripe red and dark berries, lavender, white pepper and garrigue. Sweet and open-knit, showing very good clarity and lift to the juicy raspberry and cherry compote flavors. This suave, seamless, classic Châteauneuf finishes with solid thrust, lingering sweetness and light, fine-grained tannins."

"Ripe, with lush raspberry and blackberry confiture notes that stretch out languidly over very silky tannins, picking up light tea, shiso leaf and anise accents along the way. An echo of chalky minerality drifts through, adding length and range. Best from 2019 through 2028. 2,500 cases made."
Vinous Reverie Notes
The Les Clefs d’Or Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge emanates from both vineyards. The blend is 65% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and a field blend of 10% Cinsault, Muscardin, Counoise and Vaccarèse which are vinified together. The wine is fermented for 20 days in concrete tanks and then aged in large, 50 hectolitre casks for about one year. Their Châteauneuf Blanc also comes from this vineyard.
