"The 2014 Vouvray Pétillant is such an inviting wine. Scents of apricot, pastry, wild flowers, hazelnut and orange peel appear first. Generous and creamy on the palate, with a gentle mousse, the 2014 is impeccably balanced and harmonious. The airy, gracious finish makes it impossible to resist
a second taste. It is a great start to this tasting of new releases from Huet."

"The 2014 Domaine Huët Vouvray Pétillant is absolutely superb and offers up very good value in the world of sparkling wine prices. The bouquet is deep, pure and shows beautifully fruit tones of peach and quince to augment its fine base of chalky soil elements, spring flowers and an esthery topnote of bee pollen. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and complex, with a very good base of soil, a lovely core of fruit, pinpoint bubbles and lovely balance and grip on the long and classy finish. Fine juice. 2019-2040+."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Limestone-rich clay soils. All grapes harvested by hand. Noel Pinguet was one of the first French vignerons to adopt biodynamic viticulture and credit biodynamics with enhancing the personalities of the estate's terroirs. Bottled before primary fermentation is finished, resulting in a lower pressure sparkling wine - pétillant - because only a portion of the fermentation occurs inside the bottle. Yeast is added to ensure the fermentation progresses smoothly. Once finished the wine is disgorged. Dosage = 10 g/l and is made up of cane sugar and demi-sec or moelleux wines from a previous vintage. Among the great values in sparkling wine and competes in pedigree, texture and flavor with many Champagnes. Shows trues versatility of Chenin and provides endless drinking pleasure.
