"This is pinotage with a natty twang, its notes of cedar shavings, pomegranate and cherry clarified by a decant: That stink completely dissipates, leaving a delicate stunner, weaving together floral cherry-blossom scents with an old-growth woodsiness, and darker flavors toeing the line of orange citrus. This tastes like its parents, stitching together the earth of pinot noir and the pale fruit of cinsault. It feels fully realized."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Dry land farmed bush vines planted in 1991 and 1998 in a combination of pure granite rock in the higher parts of the mountain, mixed with decomposed granite deposits lower down in the vineyards. 20% whole bunches all deposited in a concrete and vertical wooden foudre for fermentation.
