Vinous Reverie Notes
This is the less-famous little brother of our Macon-Villages. Even though the wine was always fun and interesting to work with, in the past Aligoté had always had high yields and failed to ripen enough for sale in bottle. The winery sold all of it to a bulk processor, but over the past five to ten years something began to change. As the climate of the Mâconnais has warmed, the Aligoté was ripening into a bright, fruity and balanced wine. Nowadays, throughout the region Aligoté is coming out of the dark and generating a lot of interest as a second Burgundy white.
