"I think even better, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is cut from the same cloth yet has a touch more richness. Honeyed lime, white grapefruit, crushed stone, and poached pear are just some of the nuances here, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with a rich, concentrated mouthfeel, good acidity, and a great finish. It’s another sensational white from this estate to enjoy over the coming two decades or so."

"Low acidity, a little on the heavy side with pear, tarragon, quince, anise and touches of grapefruit and lemon verbena on the finish. Good length and already quite complex, but a little sprawling. Contains roughly equal parts of the six permitted white grapes. Various plots around the appellation, farmed organically, all varieties co-fermented in stainless steel."

"Wow, really expressive nose – honeycomb and Conference pear. Rich palate with plenty of freshness and a sense of sweetness too, lemon verbena and bergamot. Drinking beautifully now but will improve with time. Fresh and also has broad shoulders at the same time. 17.5/20 points. (AC)"
