“It’s a ripe, sexy, yet concentrated wine that offers lots of black cherries, violets, lavender, raspberry and mineral-driven aromatics. Clean, medium to full-bodied, and with rock-solid mid-palate depth, it’s going to drink beautifully for upwards of a decade, although there’s absolutely no need to delay gratification.”
Vinous Reverie Notes
Named for the elevation of Mont Ventoux (1912 meters above sea level), Edition 1912M is a cuvée made from about 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah with small additions of Cinsault and Carignan. Fermented and aged entirely in tank and concrete, this wine demonstrated the freshness and vibrancy that Ventoux is capable of achieving due to its elevation, and its unique microclimate provided by the nearby mountain.
