"Owned by the Meffre family, this estate has produced a ripe wine packed with black-currant Cabernet Sauvignon flavors and still-firm tannins. It offers weight and richness but never too much."

"The juicy freshness makes this a lively and easy to drink, medium-bodied St.-Julien. Tobacco leaf and slightly sappy character at the finish."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Chateau Lalande is a small family owned estate in Saint Julien. Adjoining Chateau Gruaud Larose, Chateau Talbot and Chateau Lagrange, and facing Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou, it is one of the rare small, non-classified estates in the St Julien appellation that has not yet been snatched up by one of its renowned neighbors. Only 6,000 cases produced annually. Tasting Notes: Bright ruby color. Elegant nose of crushed red and black berry fruit, spices and a hint of vanilla. Rich and round in the mouth with a touch of freshness. Soft well-integrated tannin and a long finish.
