"Full bottle 1,227 g. Certified CAB (in conversion to organic).
Smells so pretty! Like a bowl of ripe, lightly poached pears in a pool of light cream and sprinkled with pan-roasted almond slivers. This wine, for some reason, always reminds me of long, soft, light-drenched muslin curtains, lazy summer breezes, daisies on the lawn. But this vintage seems to have more curve, more sweetness, more richness of fruit. It tastes riper. Poached pears, baked apples, a touch of golden fig, yellow guavas. There is also a frisson of spice that sits somewhere between saffron and coriander. Elegant, as always, but a little something extra special in the 2021. 17/20 points. (TC)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
"La Clape is the only appellation based on the Bourboulenc grape. It brings freshness and structure and makes the reputation of La Clape for white wines. It is half of this blend together with Grenache for its fruit and a dash of Roussanne and Marsanne for additional complexity." ~ Eric Fabre
Tasting notes: Pale yellow colour with golden glints. Elegant bouquet of spring flowers and fresh spices such as anise or fennel. Smooth mouth revealing a rich and long complexity of white fruits balanced by a mineral freshness. Ageing potential of 8 to 10 years.
