"Has a little bit extra to the fruit line. While still speaking to the classic lemon-accented aromas and flavours, there is an extra edge of lemon/passionfruit sorbet. The drinking window will remain open for as long as you wish."

"This delicate and slightly green-tinged Semillon is made by one of the Hunter’s most renowned estates. Fresh and youthful, it bounces with aromas of fresh flower blossoms, lemon and lime leaf. In the mouth, Semillon’s typically waxy texture and citrus oil notes are tempered by crisp acidity." *Editors’ Choice*

"Brokenwood is one of the Hunter Valley's top wineries, led for the past 35 years by Iain Riggs...While Riggs crafted some terrific wines over the years, I think his most important contribution was making Brokenwood something of an incubator for Australia's best young winemaking talent." ~ Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate (2020)
Semillon is the traditional, premium white grape of New South Wales’ Hunter Valley. This extremely versatile grape variety is typically harvested at a low brix in the Hunter, highlighting its fresh citrus and green apple notes and vibrant acidity. It can be enjoyed young in this style, or with substantial bottle maturation, showing attractive creamed honey and toasty notes when aged for 10 to 20 years. Tasting Notes: A vibrant color with a touch more than usual due to the sunshine that year. Lovely florals and lemon grass aromas. Mouth filling flavors of pear and lemon pith balancing the zesty acid backbone. The aromas and fruit weight belie the low alcohol and reconfirms that the Hunter Valley produces fruit at optimal ripeness at much lower sugar levels. A classic Hunter Valley Semillon.
