92 points Decanter
"Part of the Bouchard range since 1907, this wine features 17 of the extensive lineup of Beaune premiers crus, grown on a mixture of soil types. Part of Frédéric Weber's skill lies in the blending of all these different cuvées to produce a wine that's textured, floral and sweet, with subtle reduction, some whole-bunch spice and a backdrop of 35% new wood."
92 points Wine & Spirits
"Brisk, bold and juicy, this wine glows with red and purple fruit and floral notes. As it opens over the course of several days, any sense of compression in the coal-black tannins turns toward detail, those tannins layered into a satiny mille-feuille of savory custard and rose petals. This is a selection from Bouchard’s parcels in 17 premier cru vineyards, all vinified separately before blending."
Jancis Robinson
"A blend of 17 different Beaune premier cru parcels: Aigrots, Avaux, Bas des Teurons, Belissand, Boucherottes, Bressandes, Cent Vignes, Champs Pimont, Clos du Roi, A l'Écu, En Genêt, Grèves, Pertuisots, Reversées, Seurey, Sizies and Toussaints.
Translucent garnet. Real evolution on the strongly perfumed nose – delightfully composed and ready to enjoy, like so many 2017 red burgundies. Lots of fruit and delicacy with an overlay of chestnut. Shame I didn't manage to taste this in time for my pre-Christmas recommendations. Very satisfying finish. Subtle. Not concentrated but then red burgundy doesn't need to be and Beaune rarely is. Very clear to see its premier cru pedigree. Neat finish. 17/20 points."
