“Orange blossom and jasmine aromas are alluring, giving way to peach, tangerine and lime flavors that are bright and expressive. A firm backbone of acidity keeps this fresh and balanced. The floral notes reemerge on the perfumed finish. Drink now through 2023.”

"Very attractive, grapey dry muscat with good structure as well as lively fruit. Nice length with discreet tannins supporting the finish nicely. Drink now or hold."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Location: Vélez-Málaga, Alta Axarquía, the most historic subzone in the D.O. Málaga. Varietal: 100% Muscat of Alexandria. The oldest variety in the Muscat family and one of the few remaining genetically unmodified vitis vinifera cultivars remaining in the world today. The Phoenicians transplanted this grape from Alexandria, Egypt to Málaga approximately 2,800 years ago. Vineyards: 54 parcels planted. The vineyards in Málaga are the most extreme in all of Europe. The mountainside vineyards are planted at inclinations of up to 70°. There is no terracing, ladders, or mechanization to assist with the harvest. The vineyards are worked completely by hand. Viticulture: Traditional dry farmed viticulture. Organic Gobelet trained vines. Cultivated completely by hand, with minimal human intervention. The majority of the vines receive no treatments whatsoever. Soils: No organic matter or agricultural soil to speak of. Solid slate rock and decomposed slate with a small percentage of white quartz. Climate: Extremely dry Mediterranean climate. The Axarquia is at high elevation which results in cool winters with no frost and warm summers. Our vineyard sites are oriented to the north, which protects the vineyards from the prevailing winds.
