Product Description
92 points Wine Enthusiast
"Rich, ripe passion fruit, berry and guava tones resound from nose to finish in this unabashedly tropical Riesling. While medium-sweet in style, it's refreshingly composed, marked by spine-tingling acidity. A sugary lace meanders long on the finish. It's approachable already, but structured enough to cellar through 2028."
Vinous Reverie Notes
Piesport is facing south on the U-shaped arch of the Mosel. The ideal location, reminiscent of an open amphitheater, is optimally protected from the cold north winds by the rocks of the Mosel. Heavily weathered Devonian slate interspersed with quartzites, blue-gray in color, deep with a good water supply, in some plots a high proportion of fine earth. In summer until late autumn there is a very long sunshine duration, due to the high proportion of fine soil and the forest above the vineyards, particularly good water flow, which prevents drought stress for the vines in dry periods. Tasting Notes: The spicy, subtly sweet Rieslings develop an animating freshness on the deep, weathered brown slate soil and are very easy to store.
