Vinous Reverie Notes
Attis is the wine quest of two brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Farina. Years ago, they joined the French Oenologist, Jean Francois Hebrard, to elevate winemaking in Rias Baixas and the possibilities of its varietals and terroir bringing out each nuance and every aroma that showcases the climate and the terroir of the Atlantic. The winery is near the small village of Meano, in the center of the Salnes Valley on the Mount Penaguda foothills and in front of Arosa and Pontevedra Estuaries. Weather features here are clearly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean which provides a high salinity to the wines made from different autochthonous varieties in the Rias Baixas. This factor is particularly accentuated in the wines of the Val do Salnes sub-area. Due to the high level of humidity, vineyards are tended in the local popular Emparrado Trellis system, lifted in order to protect them from moisture and maximize air circulation, allowing for healthy and dry grapes bunches which are tight and small. The processes of elaboration of their wines, from the care of the vineyard to the harvest and vinification, are characterized by a deep understanding of the variety. The environment facilitates direct contact with the tradition and culture of wine. A culture of which they inherit the care with patience of the vineyards throughout the year. The experience to treat the raw material passionately and to tackle the winery's own tasks; and the conditions necessary to print the typicalness of the Atlantic zone in all their wines, including this Albarino. Tasting Notes: Intense yellow color with green edges. Clean and bright. Intense and sweet nose of fresh white fruit with subtle hints of citrus that give it an attractive sensation of freshness. The delicious acidity and persistent aromas give it a long and sweet finish. Food Pairings: White fish and meats as well as dishes with leafy green herbs.
