90 points Decanter
"Buying Vermentino can be a leap of faith, as many are insipid and neutral. Not this one, however – steel aged for six months on its own yeasts, there’s a good weight here, with citrus notes and attractive salinity. The Mistral wind helps preserve acidity and freshness."
Jancis Robinson
"Made from vines planted by Antonella's famous grandfather Antonio Argiolas, a great figure in Sardinian wine history.
Broad white peach and citrus on the nose and an attractively saline note on the end. Really broad but not at all fat. Tingles with excitement on the end. Handsomely packaged. Very long. 16.5/20 points."
"Straw yellow. Great nose of breadcrumbs and pear and a touch of cold-ferment tropical fruit, but this is still very young and will settle with a little more bottle age. Lightly salty fruit palate with mandarin and peach and with a youthful prickle. Viscous and long. Just the perfect foil for any grilled fish and has the weight to match it. 16.5/20 points. (WS)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
"When wine is in your blood it’s difficult to ignore its pulse – at least for Antonella Corda, granddaughter of Antonio Argiolas (late patriarch of Argiolas). After studying agronomy and winemaking management, Corda took over her mother’s 40ha property and established her own label. Working with renowned consultant Luca d’Attoma she crafts two Vermentinos (one aged in amphora), a mouthcleansing Nuragus and a juicy Cannonau." ~ Decanter, Stars of Southern Italy Wines
The quality of the wine begins in the territory’s soil. Antonella’s wines are Serdiana’s finest expression. Tasting Note: A full and layered white with white-flower, apple and peach character. Round and phenolic texture. Long and very flavorful. Food Pairing: Pairs well with fin and shellfish. Also great with salty appetizers such as smoked salmon and capers.
