"Mendes crossed the mountains from his native Minho Valley to the Lima Valley to produce this wine (hence the name Passaros). The wine shows the quality of fine Loureiro, spicy and with direct layers of fruit and acidity. The wine is young, fresh and will be better from 2023."

“The 2021 Loureiro Pássaros comes in with something less than 1.5 grams of residual sugar, 6.4 grams of total acidity and 12.2% alcohol.
Pássaros is sourced from the estates located on the right bank of the river, with lower altitude and outcrops of schist. It smells and tastes more like classic Loureiro while adding fine structure.”
Vinous Reverie Notes
Winery: Very aromatic in the nose with a strong presence of orange flower as well as citric and stone fruit aromas. Fresh and light mouth full of minerality. Ends long with very pure aromas of orange flower and leaf.
