"Mandarin peel and pith, juicy peach and Damask rose petal all unite on this wine's richly aromatic nose. The palate adds the juicy sweetness of Mirabelle compote as well as a wonderfully countering note of bitterness. Something heightened and pristine about that bittersweet core seems to radiate freshness and energy. The wine is medium sweet and concentrated."

Vinous Reverie Notes
The Barthelmé brothers, viticulturist Maurice and winemaker Jacky, were awarded Winemakers of the Year 2012 by Revue de Vin de France. They are rated both by Wine Advocate and Vinous to be in the top tier of Alsace producers. With a three-star rating in The Classement by Revue du Vin de France, Domaine Albert Mann is now heralded the world over. Using organic methods guided by biodynamic practices, the Barthelmé brothers cultivate precisely controlled yields to obtain grapes of elevated maturity and complex substance. From the Pinot Auxerrois, through all of their expressive Grand Crus, to the specialized Selection Grains Noble, Maurice and Jacky consistently produce their wine in their own unique style. Never heavy, clumsy or out of balance, each carefully crafted vintage presents a beautiful delineation of flavors and precise textures. Tasting note This Gewurztraminer has a brilliant, intense golden yellow color. It reveals fruits aromas of good maturity as, Mirabelle, apricot, mandarin, pink grapefruit, mango, candied citrus and green tea with a spicy touch due to a harvest slightly in surmaturity. This wine exalts to the second nose, notes of clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper. On the palate, it is delicate and delicious, elegant, pure and generous: a real pleasure. Its taste confirms perfectly its fragrance with a tiny presence of minerality. Great aging potential. Food matching: Foie gras terrine and mango chutney. Rabbit stew with apricots. Soft washed rind cheese as Munster. Blue-veined cheese : Fourme d’Ambert, Bleu de Gex or Roquefort.
