90 points James Suckling
"A prototypical Burgundian pinot that has good ripeness and the lively personality of this vintage. Some sous bois and good cherry aromas. The palate is rather silky, the tannins building gently at the long finish. Drink or hold."
"60% aged in oak barrels (20% new) for eight months.
Juicy redcurrant and cranberry fruit with great openness of fragrance, yet tension of structure – lovely acidic zing, then rather full body for Bourgogne. Finishes with charming earthy tones. A great advert for how ambitious Bourgogne can be. 16.5+/20 points. (RH)"
Vinous Reverie Notes
Winery: Our Bourgogne Pinot Noir Secret de Famille ("Family Secret") is crafted from a carefully sourced blend of grapes from prestigious terroirs of the Côte d'Or region only (around Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, Marsannay…). We treat these wines as “villages” wines, where yields are restricted and ageing is adapted for each wine. This charming wine features predominant fruity aromas of blackcurrant and wild red berries. Velvety and silky, this wine boasts soft, balanced structure on the palate, which ends with a delicate finish reminiscent of red fruit. Enjoy this wine with roasted or grilled meats, poultry, vegetables and mild cheeses.
